Our contractors are state Mandated Reporters responsible for transporting and supervising children and youth who need support during troubling times. During family legal proceedings, like divorce, custody or no-contact orders, a judge may order that one or both parents attend family visits supervised or monitored by a trained child advocate such as a Resource/Foster Parent, Social Worker, or third party Visit Supervisor. C.A.R.E. Family Services contracts qualified Visit Supervisors and Certified Peer Counselors, at competitive rates, to work with families experiencing disruptions and provide consistent support that encourages family unity and healing. What are the qualifications?

To meet state and agency guidelines, we can help you meet the required qualifications:

  • You must be 18+ years old.

  • You must submit to a criminal background check, and have no criminal offenses or history of violence.

  • You must have a high school diploma. A bachelors degree in social work, nursing, or early-childhood is preferred but not required.

  • You must have an active, registered Washington state business license.

  • You must submit your Washington state driving record, and have an operating vehicle that is not older than 2008 to pass a vehicle inspection. Commercial car insurance up to $500,000 required.

  • You must provide your own unexpired car seats, booster chairs, and/or harnesses for your clients.

  • You must be a child advocate and passionate about wellness.

What training is required?

To provide clients with quality support, the following training is required:

  • High School Diploma+

  • Defensive Driver Training

  • Car Seat Training

  • CPR/First Aid Training

  • Blood Pathogen Training

  • Visit Supervisors must maintain these certifications and complete 20 hours of continued professional development annually

  • Certified Peer Counselors require state application and 40 hours of in-person CPC training
